Recycling
The City of Lexington values our natural resources.  We encourage residents and businesses to participate in recycling programs that are available to you. You can reach out to Recycle Technologies (Formerly Greenlight Recycling) at (800) 969-5166 for details on when Lexington Recycling Events are being held, or visit them on their Website : Recycle Technologies Recycling saves natural resources, energy, clean air and water, landfill space, money and creates jobs.  Did you know...

  • The United States generates approximately 208 million tons of municipal solid waste annually.
  • About 80% of what Americans throw away is recyclable.
  • Motor oil never wears out, it just gets dirty.  Oil can be recycled, re-refined, and reused again reducing our reliance on foreign oil.

Let's work together to make our world a better place to live!  Questions on recycling can be directed to Mary Vinzant, our Recycling Coordinator.
Thank you for Recycling and for Protecting our waterways by keeping grass clippings out of the storm sewers!
